Steel tank modeller

To extend the possibility of modelling and loading cylindrical structures, tool for steel silos was developed for FEA software SCIA Engineer. The motivation and implementation is to extend and build on knowledge from the modeller of cooling towers created previously. Steel tank (silo) modeller does not have user interface and the implementation is based on MS Excel, where the structure is defined and macros and formulas calculate position of structural nodes, beams, shells and load impulses. These data are then stored in format viable to be directly inputted in FEA program SCIA Engineer by feature Table Input.
